On the muddy shore of Anosy I sat down and wept. Waking alone At the hour when we are Trembling with tenderness Lips that would kiss form prayers to broken stone I don't want much. Coming in from the rain, the rain dribbling from the thatch, the sound of the surf. The gentle bed. The porch where torches burn long into the night. The awaiting warmth. Green hangs wet with bent leaves. He who was living is now dead We who were living are now dying With a little patience Coming in from the rain. Looking for something to cling to. The eyes are sunlight on a broken column There, is a tree swinging And voices are In the wind's singing More distant and more solemn than a fading star Smile. (Up to page 50 in the novel but I think most of it is filler, shit. Must get inspired again.) I just don't feel like writing right now. I subbed at the Middle School today after a glory-filled week-long Spring break, and rolled out flat; but I did have a good day, all things considered. The good weather is on the way, and I want to go camping. I wanna wanna wanna. Neil Young's new album comes out today. I've only really heard Let's Roll which is awful, but Neil rushed it out as a tribute and Goin' Home . Now... What an unbelievable song. It is Neil with Crazy Horse, 9+ minutes, just beautiful. It makes me want to drive into Nebraska or
